Hamilton Hill & Manning Park

  • Manning Park Loop & Lookouts: Start your morning with birdsong around the lake, then climb the Manning Stairs for ocean-to-hills views. From the ridge, you can continue south across the reserve towards Coogee for a stunning bush to beach ramble.

  • Pear Tree Café: A locals’ favourite for woodfired brunches and easy, wholesome plates. A quick 7-minute cycle away

  • Everyday Bread: Perth’s best bakery (well, that’s our rating, but we’re European and are fussy)

  • Forno Antico: A Hidden gem – we rate it Perth’s best authentic Italian pizza, perfect for takeaway and a chilled night in.

Coogee & North Coogee

  • Coogee Common: Kitchen Garden dining in a heritage building; seasonal plates and house ferments make it a destination. Fine(r) lunching or dining experience.

  • Coogee Maritime Trail: Omeo Wreck – Wade straight off the beach to WA’s only shore-accessible shipwreck; a shallow snorkel trail with sculpture and sea life.

  • The Surfing Lizard Beach Café: Beachcasual coffees, amazing breakfasts and simple fare steps from the sand. You can reach this café by following the coastal cycle path.

  • South Beach: Calm, swimmable water and a laidback lawn; perfect for a dip before dinner. Vibey, especially during those warm summer nights. Bring a picnic blanket and chill on the grassed section while watching people connect and the world go by.

  • Dolce & Salato (Douro Rd): Cannoli, cakes and excellent coffee when your sweet tooth calls. At the South Freo shopping complex. Great for snacks, sandwiches and takeaway.

  • South Fremantle Café Strip: Stroll down South Fremantle’s Iconic café and bar strip, stop at boutique shops, stop for a coffee or wine
